Gaming Standards Association holds Japan launch party in Ginza

The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) held a launch party on Wednesday in Tokyo’s Ginza. As reported by Inside Asian Gaming, GSA is an international gaming industry body that announced this week it is establishing a Japanese office.

It is a non-profit organization providing information, know-how and educational services regarding casino game technology and regulations to government, public agencies, and gaming industry bodies.

GSA Japan will be its fourth global office, joining GSA HQ Americas, GSA Europe, and GSA Macau.

Peter DeRaedt representing the American office and President Mark Pace made the long journey to Tokyo for the launch party to offer their greetings and congratulations.

DeRaedt said, “We want to provide unbiased information required by the Japanese government and gaming-related businesses and contribute to the development of IRs in Japan.”

After completing both undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Agriculture, majoring in veterinary medicine, Katayama spent 28 years as the horse racing specialist for the evening Nikkan Gendai.
