Are you a devoted lover of Italian cuisine? If the answer is yes and you live in or plan to go to Macau, then Studio City has one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in town: Rossi Trattoria.

The venue portrays a rustic atmosphere that expresses its commitment to traditional roots while bringing a new approach to classic flavors. Rossi’s menu proudly shows the quality of the products as its leitmotif.

“The menu is fully based on Italian traditions from north to south, innovations come in the cooking techniques,” says Rossi’s Italian chef Rodolfo Serritelli. “We see as our signature that in every dish, every ingredient is carefully selected or crafted by us in the kitchen.

“An example is the ‘Bruschetta di Pane di Semola, Pomodoro, Bufala e Basilico’ where we select certain tomatoes, cheese and specific flours for making our own bread, so a very common dish becomes unique.”

Those fond of Italian dishes will find familiar names on the menu like risottos, pizzas or pastas, however a refined hand can be perceived in each service. While all pastas are made in Rossi’s kitchen, chef Serritelli declares that “the real secret is proper kneading, proper resting, the handling during the crafting and, of course, the cooking at service time.”

Pastas offered in Rossi include gnocchi (potato pasta), maccheroni and tagliolini (water and semolina pasta), fettuccine and tagliatelle (egg pasta) and tortelloni (stuffed egg pasta).

Beside the Italian traditional flagship entries like antipasti, pasta and pizzas, the menu is complemented with meats, fish and side dishes, all depicting Italian cooking styles.

Serritelli says the elements that inspired him for the menu creation are mainly his “family’s culinary habits, of course the traditional Italian recipes that the world knows and my big passion which is the bakery world that pushed me and my team to study and create our own recipe of Pizza Roman style.”

And on a wine list with a broad representation from Italian regions, the Moscato can be a perfect partner for classic desserts such as Panna Cotta or Tiramisu.

We here at IAG thoroughly recommended Rossi Trattoria.
