Slot giant Konami Gaming is more than doubling the size of its North American headquarters in Las Vegas.
The subsidiary of Japan’s publicly traded Konami Corporation is adding 193,000 square feet of space to its facilities near McCarran International Airport. The expansion includes corporate offices, a sales center, R&D and manufacturing and service for both North America and Europe.
When complete in 2015 it will bring the total size of the operation to 316,000 square feet and allow the company to consolidate its corporate functions and its warehousing, which currently is maintained elsewhere, under one roof. It also will allow the company to add staff, which currently numbers around 400 at the various Las Vegas sites.
“What this project shows is the company’s commitment to the gaming industry and the opportunity we see for expansion and growth,” said Konami Gaming Senior Vice President Thomas Jingoli. “A facility of this size offers us the space we need for the three three-to-five-year growth plan we have established for the company.”
