Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa have been fined a combined S$230,000 by Singapore’s Casino Regulatory Authority for allowing more than 20 people to enter their casinos or remain on the properties in violation of the law.
Marina Bay Sands was fined $130,000 for letting in six people who are banned from the casinos and one minor over a period from November 2011 to April 2012. Six people also entered the property without paying the required entry levy, the authority said, and one remained in the casino for more than 24 hours, the maximum time allowed on a daily entry levy.
Resorts World was fined $100,000 for admitting three people banned from entering the casino and two minors over the same period. Another four people were found at RWS without valid entry levies and four others were found to have stayed beyond the 24 hours allowed by the entry rules.
