Continuing the Company’s Mid-Autumn tradition of mooncake donation and volunteerism, for the eighth consecutive year Melco Resorts & Entertainment sent volunteers to visit eight local organizations. A total of 240 volunteers delivered over 1,000 donated boxes of mooncake to those in need for the important Chinese season of reunion and thanksgiving.

Melco’s Mid-Autumn volunteering team included Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho and other members of senior management, who brought gifts of mooncakes and fruits and spent time with residents of the Pou Tai Integrated Service Center for the Elderly.

At the Pou Tai event, attended by over 50 Melco volunteers, the team performed songs, dances and shows of magic for the elderly before distributing gifts and spending quality time communicating with the senior citizens.

Other benefiting organizations from this year’s Mid-Autumn volunteering activities include the Concordia School for Special Education, Centro de Serviços Completos para Idosos Cheng I, Associação Familiares Encarregados Deficientes Mentais Macau, Fuhong Society of Macau, Richmond Fellowship of Macau, Casa Para Anciões da Paróquia de Sto. António and Lar de Idosos Ian Oi Limitada.

“Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family and friends to gather, reunite and to give thanks to the important people in our lives,” said Ho. “Employees are part of the Melco family and as a token of our appreciation, employees are gifted mooncakes on behalf of the Company for the season of reunion. We are delighted that our employees have initiated and are continuing this Melco tradition to further share thoughtfulness and care with the wider community through mooncake donation and volunteerism, spending quality time with those in need.”
