The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and gaming regulator PAGCOR were this week officially recognized as being among the country’s top performing Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) in 2024.
The Governance Commission for Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GCG) hosted its performance evaluation awards in Parañaque City, with PCSO topping the 2024 rankings on the back of the best performance rating of 100.63%.
Mactan-Cebu Airport Authority placed second with a score of 100.16% and PAGCOR third with 99.92%.
The best performance ratings take into account indicators including social impact, sustained and increased revenues, collection efficiency, budget utilization, customer satisfaction, improved process efficiency, ISO certification, human resource development, advancement in technology and more.
Other GOCCS recognized were Clark International Airport Corporation, Landbank of the Philippines, Landbank Countryside Development Foundation, Inc, Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Regulatory Office, National Tobacco Administration and Social Security System.
It was noted that PSCO’s score has risen significantly in recent years, from a rating of 56.3% in 2021 to 92.03% in 2022 and 98.01% in 2023.
