DigiPlus Interactive Corp, the Philippines’ market leader in the domestic online gaming space, has detailed the impact of tighter regulations on the industry during the September 2025 quarter, with revenues falling by 23% year-on-year to Php19.1 billion (US$323 million), EBITDA by 55% to Php2.0 billion (US$33.9 million) and net income by 59% to Php1.71 billion (US$29.0 million).
In a Philippine Stock Exchange filing, DigiPlus said they decline was due to the tighter regulations, which required e-wallet providers to delink in-app access to licensed online gaming platforms. This temporarily disrupted player activity and transaction volumes across the industry during the period, the company explained.
In response, DigiPlus stated, it has taken a series of proactive measures aimed at enhancing player protection and customer service platforms – including partnering with Philippine First Insurance Co. Inc to introduce the country’s first surety bond program for online gaming players, providing financial protection of up to Php1 million per verified player wallet.
DigiPlus also partnered with CIS Bayad Center Inc to expand over-the-counter payment options nationwide, offering users of its BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone platforms alternative ways to transact and manage their accounts.
While Q3 results were down, DigiPlus still hailed strong growth across the first nine months of 2025 combined, with total revenues up 30% to Php66.8 billion (US$1.13 billion), supported by increased business activity and the rollout of new games and licenses approved by PAGCOR. EBITDA for the first nine months reached Php11.1 billion (US$188 million), up 19%.
“This period demonstrates DigiPlus’ resilience amid temporary setbacks. Throughout this period, we continue to focus on digital innovation, player protection, and good governance,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “As we grow our business and expand responsibly into new markets, we remain focused on upholding global corporate governance and responsible gaming standards, while creating positive impact on the Filipino nation.”
