Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) announced Thursday that its flagship integrated resort, Galaxy Macau, has renewed its three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Damai Entertainment under Alibaba Group and Macau Pass to advance collaboration on ticketing systems.
According to GEG, the collaboration signifies the partners building upon their existing cooperation to further integrate resources, leverage respective strengths and drive the advancement of Macau’s cultural and entertainment sector.
Over the next three years, the parties will continue to host diverse cultural events in Macau, encompassing major live projects such as film screenings, concerts, stage plays, musicals, award ceremonies, immersive performances, interactive theatre, live music venues, sporting events and exhibitions.
Concurrently, the parties will establish a comprehensive collaboration in publicity, marketing and ticketing systems while facilitating the recruitment of cultural and entertainment industry talent to Macau.
Damai Entertainment’s principal operations encompass ticketing agency services within mainland China. Under this partnership, Damai Entertainment will continue advancing comprehensive ticketing system collaboration with Galaxy Macau while assisting Macau Pass in upgrading ticketing system technology and hardware infrastructure.
Galaxy Macau and Damai will also deepen their membership collaboration, promoting cross-platform membership integration and exclusive privileges to deliver enhanced services to members.
Since 2023, Macau’s six gaming concessionaires have committed to investing a combined minimum of MOP$118.8 billion in non-gaming projects under their new 10-year contracts. Non-gaming activities such as concerts and sporting events have significantly boosted the overall revenue of gaming operators.
This marks the second cooperation agreement between GEG and Damai Entertainment following their initial partnership in 2023. GEG noted that under the previous strategic agreement, Damai’s digitalized performance management platform MAITIX commenced international expansion in 2024.
“The inaugural international ticketing system was formally delivered for use at Galaxy Arena in the same year, marking the first large-scale venue for Damai’s MAITIX International Edition service,” the company explained.
“This system ensures stability during peak ticket sales for major popular performances, featuring robust security mechanisms including high-level DDoS protection and anti-bot measures, thereby delivering an optimal user experience.”
GEG added, “Since the commencement of strategic cooperation in 2023, we have successfully introduced premier domestic performers and major variety events to venues under Galaxy Macau, including concerts by Teens in Times and Roy Wang.”
