Macau concessionaire Sands China Ltd has appointed former PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Kitty Chung Kit Yi as an independent non-executive director of the company.
Chung’s appointment as a director and a member of the Audit Committee, will take effect from today, 16 October 2025, the company explained in a filing.
Chung, 62, is currently a non-executive director of Hong Kong-listed broadband service provider HKBN Ltd, an independent non-executive director of ASX-listed Goodman Logistics (HK) Limited and a member of the admissions, budgets and allocations committee of The Community Chest of Hong Kong, Sands China said.
She retired as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in July 2023, having provided professional services in relation to auditing, accounting and risk assurance during her time with the company.
Sands China also explained that Chung holds a bachelor degree in economics from Monash University in Australia and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
As a new independent non-executive director of the company, Chung will receive a director’s fee of US$270,000 per annum. Her appointment comes with no fixed term but is subject to retirement by rotation and re-election at the company’s AGM at least every three years.
