Leading Korean foreigner-only casino operator Paradise Co reported casino revenue of KRW80.5 billion (US$57.7 million) in August, representing an 11.7% year-on-year increase and 7.0% higher than July.
Regaining the impressive momentum it has demonstrated since the start of the year after suffering a slight dip in July, Paradise saw table games revenues rise by 7.2% month-on-month to KRW76.0 billion (US$54.5 million) and machine revenues by 3.9% to KRW4.45 billion (US$3.2 million).
This came on the back of a 12.4% rise in drop amount to KRW656.3 billion (US$470 million),according to information filed with the Korea Exchange. The drop amount was down 1.7% compared with the same month in 2024.
Casino revenues for the first eight months of 2025 combined sit 10.2% higher year-on-year at KRW610.7 billion (US$438 million).
Paradise, which recently revealed plans to develop a luxury hotel in Seoul and upgrade its VIP gaming areas to improve its appeal to international guests, operates four casinos in Korea including integrated resort Paradise City in Incheon – a joint venture with Japan’s Sega Sammy – plus casinos in Seoul, Busan and Jeju.
