FBM Foundation – the charitable arm of gaming supplier FBM – celebrated World Blood Donor Day on 14 June by hosting a blood donation drive in Pasig City, Philippines, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross.
The blood drive, titled “A Drop of Blood is a Gift of Life”, saw 40 registered donors complete their donations in support of the life-saving cause. Over 50 “Champion volunteers” also registered to donate blood, with FBM citing strong follow-through that signals a rising spirit of solidarity and community involvement.
The FBM Foundation initiative, conducted in close collaboration with Philippine Red Cross, highlights the ongoing need for safe, regular blood donations in the country, FBM said, and also serves as a reminder that every unit of donated blood is a life that may be saved.
“This initiative is more than just a campaign – it’s a movement,” said Pepe Costa, FBM Foundation’s Representative in the Philippines. “It reflects our shared responsibility and the power each of us holds to make a difference, while also showcasing commitment to our ongoing roadmap to uplift communities through long-term, purpose-driven actions.”
FBM Foundation said it has over the years implemented a wide range of programs focused on healthcare access, empowerment support and emergency assistance. These include hospital aid initiatives, educational activities to students in need, and community-based healthcare projects promoting preventive care and wellness for children and families.
“FBM Foundation continues to champion causes that uplift lives and foster solidarity,” the company said. “Through events like this one, it unites communities in meaningful action – helping ensure that safe blood is available for those in need and reminding us all of the extraordinary impact of giving.”
