The Thai Entertainment Complex Roundtable (TECR), taking place this Thursday 5 June at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, will see a very select audience of around 50 invited guests as well as leading local mainstream media in attendance.
This unique event will bring together – for the first time – both global integrated resort operators and those who have publicly opposed Thailand’s push to legalize entertainment complexes with casino gaming. It represents a vital opportunity to discuss the opportunities and the pitfalls that a legal entertainment complex industry could bring to Thailand, and for those leading the world’s most successful entertainment complexes (ECs) – also known as integrated resorts – to explain industry best practices.
The 50-person audience is made up of some of the most influential people representing a cross-section of Thai society, such as captains of industry, academics, bureaucrats, NGO leaders and politicians. These include potential EC investors, representatives of the legal and banking communities and members of the Senate subcommittee that is currently examining the government’s Entertainment Complex Bill.
Also present will be Thailand’s largest mainstream media outlets who will be providing extensive coverage of the day’s proceedings. Such coverage could go a long way towards shaping public opinion as the Entertainment Complex Bill moves forward over the coming months.
Inside Asian Gaming, which is organizing TECR, will have a team of five on the ground at the venue on Thursday, leading a total event crew of nearly 50 people. As well as the extensive Thai media coverage, IAG will provide its own detailed international coverage for industry executives through the Asia-Pacific region and across the world, including interviews with key stake holders.
Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Resorts & Entertainment and Wynn Resorts will all be represented at TECR, alongside local opposing voices, academics and notable industry figures.
