Leading B2B gaming industry media brand Inside Asian Gaming has announced Solaire Resort North, located in Quezon City in north Metro Manila, Philippines, as the venue for the 17th Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner on Friday 8 November 2024. Bloomberry Resorts Corporation is the official venue sponsor.

Just 28 minutes north of Manila airport terminal 3 in best traffic conditions, VIP guests flying in for the event will be provided with luxury limousine transfers directly from the airport.

While traditionally the Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner is held on the first Friday of November, that day is a major Philippine public holiday and the start of a long weekend, so it was decided to move the event exactly one week forward, to Friday 8 November 2024.

The US$1 billion Solaire Resort North is the hottest new integrated resort in Asia, and the Asian Gaming Power 50 will take place just six months after the property’s highly anticipated launch, scheduled to take place at the end of May.

Solaire Resort North exudes the same five-star luxury as its 11-year-old sister property Solaire Resort Entertainment City – but is brand spanking new. The Asian Gaming Power 50 provides an opportunity for senior gaming executives from across the APAC region to converge on Solaire Resort North to see this iconic new IR for themselves.

This year represents just the second time the Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner has been held outside of Macau, having made its Philippine debut in 2022. The lavish event is now held in Macau in odd-numbered years and outside Macau in even-numbered years.

Solaire Resort North, located in Quezon City – Metro Manila’s largest city, is the first and only 5-star Integrated Resort serving North Metro Manila and adjacent provinces. Developed on a 1.5-hectare site and 38 storeys high, it dominates the landscape with an air of opulence and sophistication that’s distinguishably Solaire. It exudes a contemporary worldliness that commands attention with its grand façade and palatial interiors which welcome each guest with a promise of unparalleled entertainment. The property boasts the latest and most-advanced gaming machines and tables in the market throughout its casino levels; world-class dining outlets offering diverse culinary creations; gorgeously appointed suites and guest rooms; a state-of-the-art wellness center with a gym, spa and salon; and family-friendly spaces. The resort’s MICE venues are an exceptional highlight featuring an incredible pillarless grand ballroom that can accommodate 1,300 guests in concert-style seating and can be divided into three halls, a boardroom and more intimate function areas.

Thomas Arasi, President and COO of Bloomberry Resorts Corp, said, “We’re excited to welcome our peers from the integrated resort industry to Solaire Resort North for Inside Asian Gaming’s Power 50 Gala. Hosting this event is an incredible opportunity for us to showcase our new property and share the evolution of our brand through the facilities and offerings that event guests can experience and enjoy. Solaire Resort North epitomizes our strong drive and vision of Bloomberry’s future. IAG’s choice of Solaire Resort North is most fitting to be the venue for the Power 50 celebration of men and women from the industry who share our same values of excellence.”

IAG Vice Chairman and CEO, Andrew W Scott added, “We are thrilled beyond belief to be holding the Power 50 at Solaire Resort North. This event just goes from strength to strength with each year somehow finding a way to top the last. We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Bloomberry Resorts in this way to bring the Power 50 to the newest IR in Asia. Everyone will want to see what kind of magic Bloomberry has created at Solaire North – and this is the perfect opportunity to visit the property during a major international event that is renowned as the night of nights for our industry. With the plans Solaire and IAG have already hatched, I guarantee this will be the best Power 50 ever.”

Solaire Resort North will be creating special stay packages for Power 50 guests which will include competitive luxury accommodation pricing as well as a host of other benefits.

Celebrating its 17th anniversary in 2024, the Asian Gaming Power 50 has established a reputation as the definitive guide to the most influential people in the Asian gaming industry over the preceding 12 months.

The Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner will see IAG count down this year’s “Big 50” while guests enjoy a fine-dining banquet, lively entertainment and the company of many industry peers and influencers. The Power 50 list will be announced in a variety of interesting ways by renowned VIPs.
