Clark’s Hann Casino Resort will on Friday officially open its major casino and entertainment expansion project, “The Canyon”.
The expansion, primarily aimed at substantially increasing existing gaming space, will see the property’s slot machine inventory grow by around 50% and mass gaming tables by around 40% according to information previously gathered by IAG. Hann currently boasts 1,000 slots and 200 tables.
The Canyon will also introduce three new F&B concepts, while a new premium gaming space for VIPs is slated for completion in early 2026.
Described as a first-of-its-kind immersive environment in the Philippines, the Canyon casino concept is inspired by natural rock formations, lush greenery and the grandeur of an atrium-style setting, the company told IAG recently.
“The idea was to create a larger, more dynamic main gaming floor,” explained Hann’s Senior Vice President of Casino Operations, Dennis Andreaci, in a March interview.
“While there will be an exclusive, elegantly designed VIP area upstairs for a select clientele, the highlight is the expansive main floor. It’s a spacious, thoughtfully designed area featuring new concepts and a fresh aesthetic. We continuously push the boundaries of creativity to offer more for our guests, ensuring every visit provides a unique and elevated experience.”
On the reason for the expansion, Andreaci added, “When you look around the casino during peak periods, weekends and holidays you can see that the gaming floor is very busy and the market is growing. We want to ensure that there is additional capacity for both table games and slot machines.
“This additional space not only introduces a new environment but enhances player comfort with a more spacious seating layout. It also gives us the opportunity to add in and experiment on additional games and test new games that are not yet here in the Philippines. With this large new floor space, we’ll be able to offer the public more choices for them to enjoy.”
The three new F&B outlets include an Asian fine dining restaurant called The Pearl, casual restaurant Three Woks and global coffee and wine experience The Daily Grounds.
