Foreign tourist arrivals to the Philippines stood at 4,769,871 through the first 11 months of 2025, representing a 3.02% year-on-year decline on the back of significantly lower visitation from South Korea and China.
November did, however, show a slower rate of decline with the 430,763 foreign tourist arrivals representing a 0.55% decline versus the same month last year.
Total visitor arrivals between January and November this year, including overseas Filipinos returning home, was down 2.16% to 5,235,455.
The decline in arrivals from South Korea – the Philippines’ top tourism source market – remains an issue, with the 1,134,108 arrivals through November representing a 21.0% fall compared with the same period last year.
Arrivals from China, still ranked fifth for source markets, are also down 16.55% to 248,339 although this decline has noticeably narrowed from the 27.6% drop reported for the first seven months of the year.
Arrivals from other key markets continue to rise. The United States, currently second, is up 6.57% year-on-year to 894,835 through November, Japan in third up 15.36% to 406,794 and Australia in fourth up 16.17% to 268,892.
