After two consecutive months of decline, foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) is on the rise again with the company reporting casino revenue of KRW41.7 billion (US$28.4 million) in November, up 12.9% year-on-year and 46.2% higher than in October.
The improvement came on a 12.7% year-on-year improvement in drop amount and appears to have seen margins normalize month-on-month with drop amount largely flat at KRW327.0 billion (US$223 million).
The November result included a 13.7% year-on-year improvement in table games revenue to KRW38.4 billion (US$26.1 million) and a 3.9% rise in machine revenue to KRW3.37 billion (US$2.3 million).
The solid numbers echo similar growth being experienced across the sector, with both Paradise Co and Lotte Tour also reporting rising revenues in recent days.
Casino revenue for the first 11 months of 2025 combined sits at KRW389.0 billion (US$265 million), up 9.6% on the same period last year.
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
