The head of the NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC), Philip Crawford, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR).
Although announced during the recent IAGR 2025 conference in Toronto, the NICC officially confirmed its Chief Commissioner’s appointment this week, noting that his term commenced this month and will continue until the IAGR Annual General Meeting in 2028.
“This is a very exciting time to be joining the Board of Trustees as IAGR continues to build its profile and make even more of an impact on global gaming regulation,” Crawford said.
“I look forward to collaborating with other regulators from across the world to drive innovation, share ideas and exchange best practice techniques.
“This appointment will also provide a direct line to the very best advisory and networking opportunities for the NICC, which will only strengthen our resolve to strive for the very finest casino operating standards in NSW.”
IAGR Vice President Brian Krolicki added, “Philip Crawford brings a wealth of legal and regulatory experience to the IAGR Board, and his leadership in strengthening integrity and oversight within the casino sector adds valuable depth to our global network of regulators.”
IAGR is a leading international body for gaming and gambling regulators, representing a considerable number of nations and jurisdictions from across the globe. It provides a forum for regulators to exchange views, discuss legislation and policies and share information.
