SJM has announced that another of its satellite casinos, Casino Casa Real, will close its doors early with the last day of operations set for next Friday 21 November 2025.
The company stated that following coordination with the relevant government authorities and the service provider, Casino Casa Real will officially cease operations at 23:59 on 21 November. All gaming tables and gaming machines currently operating at the location will be redeployed to other SJM casinos, while customers holding chips, deposits or cash rebates accumulated at Casino Casa Real that remain unredeemed after closure can visit other casinos operated by SJM from 22 November 2025 onwards for follow-up arrangements.
It added that all local staff directly employed by SJM Resorts will be reassigned to other casinos of the company to undertake gaming-related roles according to operational needs. Those working directly for Casino Casa Real and who are not employed by SJM Resorts will be invited to apply for related vacancies within the Group and offered priority hiring.
It was revealed in June that all 11 of Macau’s satellite casinos, unless wholly acquired by a concessionaire, would be required to cease operations by the end of this year.
Several satellite casinos have since announced early closures, including SJM’s Grandview, Legend Palace and Emperor Palace plus Galaxy’s Waldo and Melco’s Grand Dragon. That leaves only five satellite casinos remaining and just three that are definitely slated for closure – Landmark Casino, Fortune Casino and Casino Kam Pek Paradise.
SJM previously announced that it is looking to acquire Ponte 16 Casino and L’Arc Macau as wholly-owned casinos within the group.
