The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has named Lima, Peru as the host city for its 2026 annual conference, scheduled to take place from 19 to 22 October 2026 in partnership with Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
The announcement was made during the just-concluded 2025 conference in Toronto, which IAGR said marked the association’s largest-ever standalone conference, welcoming over 300 gaming regulators, lawyers, government stakeholders, researchers and industry experts from more than 40 countries.
“We’re delighted to confirm that IAGR2026 will take place in Lima,” said IAGR President Ben Haden. “We last held a conference in Peru back in 2015 and I’ve heard many stories about the incredible hospitality and energy of that event.”
Yuri Guerra Padilla, Director General of the General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines of Peru – the regulatory entity under the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism – added, “We consider this event a strategic opportunity to demonstrate the progress of our regulatory framework, designed to ensure a balance between consumer protection, market integrity and sustainable economic development.
“In a global environment where regulatory challenges cross borders, international collaboration is more essential than ever. Hosting the world’s leading regulators in Lima will allow us to exchange experiences, strengthen partnerships, and consolidate international standards that contribute to the competitiveness and transparency of the industry.
“We are confident that delegates will find in Lima an ideal setting for technical dialogue, cooperation, and regulatory innovation, as well as a vibrant, well-connected city globally recognized for its gastronomy and cultural heritage – making their visit a truly enriching and unforgettable experience.’
More details including a call for speakers will be announced in early 2026 at iagr.org, the IAGR explained.
