FBM sets consolidation of Philippines market presence as a top priority ahead of G2E

Asia will be front and center for global gaming supplier FBM at this week’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, with the company displaying a variety of Asian-themed products that it says aim to consolidate the company’s position in the competitive Philippines market.

Speaking with Inside Asian Gaming ahead of G2E, FBM Director Vitor Francisco revealed that the Philippines ranks as one of the supplier’s most critical global markets, explaining, “Our priorities are to consolidate our top position in the Philippines, maintain the steady growth in the US and continue elevating performance in Mexico.

“Asia plays a key role in FBM Group’s global operations. FBM is a top player in the competitive and fast-evolving Philippine market and is fully committed to strengthening that position.

“To achieve this, we aim to consistently launch new products that add value to local operators’ offerings, attracting and retaining customers by responding to their specific needs and preferences.”

Key to this is providing a comprehensive and varied product portfolio, with several titles set to catch the eye this week. They include the Xing Fú Fortune Money Trees and Lanterns of Fú slot series – both inspired by Asian culture and featuring a mechanic designed to bring unpredictability to gaming sessions via a three-pot system and the Prosperity, Strength, Fortune and Radiance features.

The Festivals of Luck series is another on show, boasting six themes – “Celestial Riches”, “Dragon Boat Treasure”, “Embracing Good Fortune”, “Happy Lantern Festival”, “Lucky Winter Solstice” and “Mid-Autumn Festival”. All of these, Francisco says, honor Asian traditions and festivals via culturally rich graphics and animations that connect with local players.

Also appearing at G2E is Jí Hǎo Link, which is already installed in the Philippines under the Jin Qián Link trademark. The series is composed of four slots that evoke widely known mythical creatures in Asian culture: the phoenix, white tiger, flying turtle and dragon.

Adding diversity to the product mix at G2E will be FBM’s first land-based lotto products, Bull’s Champion Lotto and Jí Hǎo Link Lotto – the latter of which again introduces Asian themes.

Jí Hǎo Link Lotto is described by Francisco as an Asian-inspired lotto that mixes traditional number draws with a Free Plays feature and a Pick Bonus. Triggered by the golden coins pot, the bonus guarantees a jackpot when players collect three matching tokens.

Both Bull’s Champion Lotto and Jí Hǎo Link Lotto allow players to play with up to four cards simultaneously and introduce a novelty to the category by offering the chance to win the Grand Jackpot not only in bonus mode but also during main game rounds. To do so, players must have all four cards active, match six drawn balls on one of the cards and achieve a clean extraction with no Wild Balls.

FBM will unveil its new land-based lotto products at G2E

On the company’s decision to delve into these lotto-based products, Francisco explained, “FBM has been expanding its presence in the US market in recent years and during that journey we identified a strong interest in lotto games and decided to explore the potential of this category.

“We’re now optimistic and eager to see how G2E Las Vegas visitors interact with the new twist we’re bringing to traditional lotto. At the same time, we are exploring further expansion opportunities for Bull’s Champion Lotto and Jí Hǎo Link Lotto across FBM’s global land-based operations.”

Despite describing this week as a critical opportunity for G2E to showcase its latest innovations to the world, Francesco added that there is significantly more to come from FBM in the months ahead.

“This year has been a prosperous one for product launches at FBM and our plan is to accelerate the pace over the next 12 months,” he said.

“While our priorities are to consolidate our top position in the Philippines, maintain the steady growth in the US and continue elevating performance in Mexico, we are actively exploring new opportunities that can further establish FBM as a global gaming brand.

“Casino operators and industry agents can expect a strong FBM presence in all our markets, with a continuous rollout of new products. We remain committed to delivering reliable, innovative and high-performing games that help elevate casino floor performance by captivating, engaging and retaining players.”
