Korea’s INSPIRE Entertainment Resort has launched a WeChat Mini Program aimed at providing a more convenient and seamless digital service experience for visitors to the property from China.
Strategically introduced ahead of the upcoming October National Day Golden Week holiday, the WeChat Mini Program is based on the hugely popular Chinese messaging app WeChat and allows users to access all services directly within WeChat without the need to download a separate application.
According to information from INSPIRE, the program enables guests to easily make and confirm hotel reservations using WeChat Pay, access exclusive offers for accommodations, dining and entertainment, and enjoy special benefits available only to INSPIRE membership holders. The platform also provides detailed information and maps of INSPIRE’s facilities, including upcoming concerts and events at the INSPIRE Arena.
“Recognizing the digital preferences and needs of Chinese guests, we are proud to introduce a WeChat Mini Program,” the company said in a statement. “Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our services so that not only Chinese travelers, but also international visitors can enjoy a more seamless and convenient experience at INSPIRE.”
INSPIRE, home to Korea’s newest foreigner-only casino, has targeted China as a key market with CEO Chen Si revealing on a panel at the recent IAG Academy Summit in Manila that doing so had already introduced many new customers to the local foreigner-only market.
“Korea traditionally is a market for Japanese players and local Koreans with residences, whereas when we entered, we really had a focus on China,” he said.
“We brought in Chinese agents and direct marketers who drive China, so a lot of new players were introduced to the market.”
