Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced a four-year strategic partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to bring three UFC Fight Nights to Galaxy Macau’s Galaxy Arena between 2026 and 2029.
Under the partnership Galaxy Arena will host the opening round of UFC’s ROAD TO UFC tournament in 2026, allowing fans to enjoy the propular talent-development series that provides elite emerging fighters from Asia-Pacific with a pathway to compete in the UFC. The competition follows a win-to-advance format across multiple weight classes, with winners earning coveted UFC contracts.

Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer – Macau of Galaxy Entertainment Group, said, “This partnership reflects our ongoing support for the Macao SAR Government’s vision to integrate tourism and sports.
“MMA fans in Macau will now have the chance to witness top-tier action right here at home, while visitors can enjoy the city’s rich culture, cuisine and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences.”
UFC President and CEO Dana White added, “This new partnership with Galaxy Macau couldn’t come at a better time. It’s great for fight fans in China and massive for the sport.”
The UFC first entered Macau 11 years ago, partnering with Sands China to launch a series of events at The Venetian Macao. Since Macau’s borders reopened post-pandemic in January 2023, concessionaires have increased their focus on high-profile events and in November 2024 GEG secured UFC’s return with UFC Fight Night at Galaxy Arena, marking the promotion’s first event in the region after a decade-long absence.
GEG said last year’s event drew an audience of 12,000 fans, while through this latest collaboration “Macau is poised to further elevate its profile as a destination for world-class sports entertainment, contributing to the city’s continued economic diversification.”
