Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has announced the opening of a new office in Singapore, which it says aims to support tourism and MICE-related enquiries from customers.
Located in the heart of Singapore’s central business district, GEG said the office will serve as a dedicated hub to enhance connections with the Singaporean business community as well as showcasing Macau’s tourism landscape to Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian region.
Promoting international was one of the key requirements defined by the Macao SAR Government during the re-tender period for gaming concessions in 2022. Under Macau’s gaming law, the government may reduce the tax it charges on GGR by up to 5% if that revenue is generated from international players, meaning those not visiting from mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.
According to GEG, the opening of Galaxy’s new office is closely aligned with the Macao SAR Government’s vision to diversify tourism offerings and expand visitor demographics.

“Through its ramped-up Singapore presence, GEG aims to curate bespoke travel experiences tailored to the preferences of Singaporean and regional travelers, ensuring seamless journeys from planning to arrival,” the company explained.
“GEG’s new office will support tourism, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) inquiries, reinforcing its role as a versatile hospitality leader and a trusted partner for business tourism.”
The number of Singaporean visitors to Macau is steadily increasing. According to official figures, the number of arrivals to Macau from Singapore in July was about 5,836, a 2.9% increase over the same period last year.
Another of Macau’s concessionaires, Melco Resorts, concessions, announced the opening of a sales office in Singapore in 2023.
