Inside Asian Gaming is delighted to release the official program for the 2025 IAG Academy Summit, to be held at Manila Marriott Ballroom A, Newport World Resorts on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 September.

The two-day program will feature a combination of traditional panel sessions and presentations as well as more innovative formats including workshops and IAG’s popular “At the Bar” sessions, where the IAG team will chat with industry personalities in a relaxed “bar side” setting.

To view the full summit program, click here.

The 2025 IAG Academy Summit will feature two exciting Keynote Speakers in PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, who will open the summit at 11am on Tuesday 9 September, and Newport World Resorts CEO Nilo Rodriguez who will deliver his Keynote Address to launch Day 2 at 10am on Wednesday 10 September.

Day 1 of the 2025 IAG Academy Summit will include an insightful panel session titled “Smart Tables: Changing the Game” in which Paltronics Australasia CEO Terri Cooper, Tangam’s David Croft, Walker Digital Table Systems’ Graeme Croft and Angel’s Bryan Jenkins will explore the meaningful impact smart tables are having on the Asian gaming industry.

IR design will also be on the table in a session featuring renowned design and architecture experts Joey Cruz and Paul Heretakis, while the topic of the day in the Philippines – the surging yet controversial eGames sector – will be discussed at length by Newport World Resorts’ Mark Gilbert, Light & Wonder’s Magdalena Podhorska-Okolow and Casino Plus CEO Evan Spytma.

The afternoon session will start with another interesting panel session called “Optimizing the Casino Floor: VIP to Mass”, featuring NUSTAR’s Michael Krispli, Solaire’s Cyrus Sherafat and Light & Wonder’s Jon Wolfe.

Day 1 will then conclude with one of the summit’s highlights as former Marina Bay Sands President and CEO, George Tanasijevich, delivers a presentation titled, “The Value of Ongoing Government-Operator Engagement and Alignment”.

Newport World Resorts CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez

Following Nilo Rodriguez’s Keynote Speech, Day 2 of the IAG Academy Summit continues with a session on the future of the Philippines casino industry as we speak with NUSTAR COO Sean Knights, Ronald Pineda of Thenix Solutions and formerly of PAGCOR for some three decades, and Evan Spytma of Casino Plus.

Then comes a panel session that is always popular – Supplier’s World – as we explore the latest trends in slots across the Asia-Pacific region. Joining us will be LT Game’s Eddie Au, Light & Wonder’s Ken Jolly, Aristocrat Gaming’s Lloyd Robson and IGT’s Charles Seo.

Next on the agenda is a unique workshop by Cory Roberts, the COO and CTO of COMPLETE Media Group and Publisher of CDC Gaming, in which he will provide attendees with his quick and dirty guide on using ChatGPT while retaining human quality. Learn what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong and how to get the most from this valuable AI tool!

After a well-earned networking lunch, the IAG Academy Summit will continue with a presentation by Lau Kok Keng, Partner and Head of Gaming Law for Rajah and Tann Asia in Singapore, on “Legal Implications of Potential Money Laundering Arising from Transborder Online Gambling”. Kok Keng will explore the novel and legally complex issue of whether proceeds derived from online gambling (licensed or otherwise) targeted at and offered to residents of states which prohibit such activities would, if used or converted into other assets in third countries, amount to money laundering in those third countries, and if so, the legal consequences for those involved.

This will be followed by a session full of very senior Macau and global hospitality expertise titled “Leveraging Non-Gaming to Drive Gaming”, featuring Sands China’s Regional Vice President – Entertainment, David Baxley; MGM China’s SVP of Hospitality Iwan Dietschi; and Galaxy Macau’s EVP – Hospitality, Roger Lienhard.

To wrap up this year’s Summit, IAG Managing Editor Ben Blaschke will sit down with INSPIRE Entertainment Resort President Chen Si and Hoiana Resort & Golf CEO Alan Teo to discuss all things relating to foreigner-only casinos in Korea and Vietnam respectively.
