Macau concessionaire Sands China Ltd has announced the appointment of Patrick Dumont – the President and COO of parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS) – as a non-executive director of the company, effective 8 August 2025.
The appointment, which is for no specific term, comes with Dumont set to be promoted to Chairman and CEO of LVS in March, replacing the retiring Rob Goldstein.
The 51-year-old has been President, COO and Treasurer LVS since January 2021 and a director of LVS since April 2017, the company said in a filing. He has also served as President of LVS (Nevada) International Holdings, Inc since February 2021, and Treasurer of LVS Nevada and a director of Venetian Venture Development Intermediate II since December 2013.
Dumont previously served as LVS’s EVP and Chief Financial Officer from March 2016 until January 2021, LVS’s principal financial officer since February 2016 and Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy from September 2013 through February 2016.
Since December 2023, he has also served as Governor of NBA team Dallas Mavericks, which the Dumont and Adelson families purchased a controlling stake in earlier that month. Dumont is married to Sivan Ochshorn, the daughter of Dr Miriam Adelson – one of the founders of LVS alongside her late husband Sheldon Adelson.
LVS holds a controlling 73.6% stake in Sands China.
It was revealed in March that Goldstein will from 1 March 2026 transition to a Senior Advisor role at LVS, with the Board of Directors adding that it “intends to name Mr Patrick Dumont, the company’s President and COO, as Chairman and CEO upon Mr Goldstein’s transition to his Senior Advisor role.”
