According to data from Macau’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC), a total of 2,891,003 visitors arrived in Macau in June, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.
Mainland China remained the primary source of visitors to Macau in June, with 1,995,627 visitors, up 20.8% year-on-year. Hong Kong visitors numbered 613,329, down 2.2% year-on-year while visitors from Taiwan totaled 85,040, down 5.6% year-on-year.
International visitors in June totaled 197,007, up approximately 3% year-on-year. Among these, visitors from the Philippines were the most numerous, with 47,041 visitors, although this represented a year-on-year decrease of 2%. The 30,916 visitors from South Korea represented a slight year-on-year increase of 0.2%.
The number of same-day visitors in June was 1,611,641 and the number of overnight visitors was 1,279,362, representing increases of 22.5% and 3.6%, respectively. The average length of stay for visitors was 1.2 days.
From January to June combined, Macau received a total of 19,218,540 visitors, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.9%. Among them, visitors from mainland China increased by 19.3% year-on-year to 13,767,810. In the first half of the year, international visitors totaled 1,341,674, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.8%.
