Around 100 industry guests came together at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s sophisticated Vasco – Bar and Lounge on Monday night to celebrate the latest edition of regular social networking event Macau After Dark (MAD).
This was the 30th edition of MAD since its inception in 2019, with the popular event having since spread its wings to Manila and Clark post-COVID.
Vasco – Bar and Lounge, a regular venue for MAD, was therefore a fitting location to celebrate this significant milestone.
Inside Asian Gaming thanks all of our generous sponsors for the event, namely Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau as Venue Sponsor, Light & Wonder as Platinum Sponsor and Angel and Aristocrat Gaming as Gold Sponsors. TKHS was Official Logistics Partner.

Ken Jolly, Managing Director, Asia for Light & Wonder, told IAG that events like MAD were vital in bringing the industry together.
“I’ve always been a supporter of IAG and for the reason that is IAG really, in my opinion, supports the industry and I think that’s important,” he said.
“At the end of the day, the industry as a body needs to work together for the betterment of the industry. So, the fact that IAG supports that more strongly than some of the other media partners out there, I’m happy with that and so I’m happy to support IAG and MAD for that reason.”

Jolly also expressed his excitement at the state of a Macau market that has shown clear signs of strength in recent months.
“There’s a lot still going on in the Macau market,” he explained.
“It’s interesting from a financial point of view because we had a few months where the analysts were talking Macau down and now we’ve had a great few months so it’s a bit fluctuating at the moment.
“We’re getting a lot of visitation from China but it is now very different to what it was before in terms of the type of player. I think the concessionaires are all working very hard to make sure they are tailoring their product to the market and hopefully they are buying the right product from us to help that.
“But really, if you think about markets like Cambodia and Vietnam that have been slow coming back to life after COVID, even though they’re coming back to life now, Macau of course just goes on and on.”
The next edition of MAD, Manila After Dark, will take place at Newport World Resorts on Monday 8 September 2025 and will double as welcome drinks for the 2025 IAG EXPO. More details on MAD 31 will be released soon.
