Regulating the Game launches Call for Speakers for 2026 event in Sydney

Leading gambling law and regulation conference Regulating the Game has launched its Call for Speakers for its sixth edition, taking place from Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 March 2026 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Regulating the Game 2026 will welcome diverse voices from across the regulatory and industry landscape to contribute to a thought-provoking program that explores the sector’s most pressing challenges and boldest opportunities. The conference aims to provide a platform to explore bold ideas, share practical insights and help shape a high-performing, well-governed and forward-looking industry – one that strikes the right balance between regulatory rigor, technological advancement and compelling entertainment experiences.

Regulating the Game 2026 Sydney will once again offer a high-impact forum to deepen regulatory capability, advance sector knowledge and provoke rich discussion on the complex challenges and opportunities shaping gambling policy, compliance and industry practice.

According to the event’s organizers, this Call for Speakers invites proposals that spark curiosity, foster discussion and understanding, and drive innovation and uplift. Keynote contributions and panel insights are sought across a diverse range of themes, including:

  • Gambling advertising, data protection and privacy law
  • Lottery landscape and future direction
  • Cyber security, game protection and cheating threats
  • Crypto gambling, frictionless onboarding and regulatory intersections
  • Racing, sport, and betting integrity
  • AML/CTF risk management, intelligence and financial crime prevention
  • Prohibition, black market gambling and offshore regulatory challenges
  • Game design, customer experience, and player protection
  • Regulatory assurance, ethics and governance best practices
  • Leadership, organizational transformation, and public value
  • Casino surveillance, VIP schemes, and loyalty programs
  • Behavioral insights, harm minimization and safer gambling outcomes
  • Comparative jurisdictional analysis and lessons from adjacent sectors
  • Media management and crisis communication
  • Facilitating conditions for safer gambling and vibrant industry

The 2026 Regulating the Game conference will also feature the inaugural RTG Global Awards Gala Dinner, the return of Pitch! at the Sydney Opera House and an expanded Exhibition Showcase – bringing together the sector’s most progressive ideas, products and professionals.
