Taiwan’s Jumbo Technology has set its sights on gaining greater traction in the Asian entertainment scene with the release of four new jackpot link series into the market.
Featuring a total of 16 titles between them, Mǎn Fú Bǎo, Mǎn Yì Fā, Lóng Lái Fā and Long Jin Bao are the result of extensive market research the company conducted into the needs of operators across the region – and particularly in the Philippines – following increased investment into segment R&D since the COVID-19 pandemic.
All four jackpot link series were presented at G2E Asia in Macau earlier this month.
Speaking with Inside Asian Gaming, Jumbo’s Business Development Specialist Jim Li said, “We think these series can cater to player preferences and fulfill everyone’s needs in the market, so we are very pleased to bring them to market.
“We weren’t able to do as much R&D during the pandemic as we would have liked but we’ve focused on increasing our investment there ever since. We started development of these four links last year, they are hitting the market now and we expect that as we enter the second half of 2025 we will really start to see progress.”
According to Li, the links have been designed based on models that are known to resonate in the local market.
“If you look at what Aristocrat has done with Dragon Link, everyone is doing links now and everyone is doing Hold & Spin or triple feature slot games, so we are doing a similar thing but we have added more innovative features to differentiate ourselves.
“Our design is different from others. Our style is more of a cute style and of course we add some new features inside each game while still sticking with the Hold & Spin. They are different from the slot games in the market now so I think we will see more opportunities.”
While the Philippines remains Jumbo’s main focus, Li explained that the company was seeing some early interest from operators in Macau and Korea as well and was in the process of earning GLI certification for those markets.
“Some operators [in those markets] are already saying the link series seem okay and have placed initial orders of 10 machines,” he said. “There is interest there but in the Philippines we’re seeing genuine demand, not just interest, which is why we are focusing there first. Of course, we can arrange certification for any market so we are hoping to expand our presence in the coming months.”
