Macau’s visitor arrivals in April reached 3,092,791, representing a year-on-year increase of 18.9% and a slight month-on-month increase of 0.7%.
According to data from the Statistics and Census Service, mainland Chinese visitors increased by 22.4% year-on-year to 2,126,212, Hong Kong visitors by 13.4% to 659,844 and Taiwanese visitors by 4.4% to 76,721.
International visitors in April totaled 230,014, up 10.4% year-on-year. The Philippines was the top source of visitors, with 43,097 entering Macau, up 20.2% year-on-year. Visitors from Thailand also saw a significant increase, with 20,463 visitors representing a 24.1% year-on-year rise.
South Korea was the second-largest source of international visitors, with 37,215 visitors, although this was down 0.7% year-on-year.
April saw 1,755,592 same-day visitors and 1,337,199 overnight visitors, representing year-on-year increases of 30.1% and 6.9%, respectively. Due to the rise in the proportion of same-day visitors, the average length of stay decreased by 0.1 days to 1.1 days year-on-year.
For the first four months of 2025 combined, a total of 12,955,456 visitors entered Macau representing a year-on-year increase of 12.9%.
The number of same-day visitors (7,578,976) and overnight visitors (5,376,480) increased by 23.4% and 0.8%, respectively.
