MGM Resorts International has announced veteran talent agent Ryan Abboushi as its new President of Entertainment, overseeing the company’s unified programming and operations strategy with the goal of building on and expanding its position as a world-class leader in live entertainment and immersive experiences. He will join MGM in June.
According to a statement, Abboushi will in his new role provide oversight of MGM Resorts; venue utilization, show bookings, talent management and partner relationships. He also will be responsible for building scalable, branded entertainment and content experiences that can extend across MGM’s many destinations.
“Ryan’s leadership and experience will be instrumental in seamlessly integrating art, sports and immersive content at MGM Resorts,” said Ari Kastrati, MGM’s Chief Content, Hospitality and Development Officer. “We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to Las Vegas as he delivers unforgettable experiences to our guests.”
Abboushi has spent the last 16 years at the prestigious talent and sports agency, Creative Arts Agency (CAA) where he packaged and sold numerous films, television shows and specials.
He began his career at William Morris Agency and is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
Abboushi’s appointment comes just days after MGM CEO & President Bill Hornbuckle extended his employment contract for another three years until the end of 2028.
