Macau welcomed a total of 520,065 visitor arrivals during the four-day Easter holiday period, with a daily average of around 130,000, according to information from the Public Security Police Force.
This year’s Easter holiday ran from 18 April to 21 April, starting from Friday when 118,999 visitors entered Macau. On Saturday visitor arrivals rose to 161,309 – the highest daily tally of the weekend – before falling to 139,791 on Sunday and 99,966 on Monday.
Easter is not a holiday in mainland China but remains a major holiday in Hong Kong and Macau. Hong Kong is the second largest source of visitors to Macau, accounting for 7,179,722 visitors in 2024 or around 29% of the total.
Last year, there were about 406,329 visitor arrivals to Macau during the Easter holidays, with this year’s figure representing an increase of about 28% compared to 2024.
