The Star Brisbane has announced the launch of three infinity pools and a new skyline events space ahead of the upcoming Easter long weekend.
The new tourism facilities add to the area’s two existing rooftop restaurants, pool bar, café, gymnasium, sauna and steam room and are exclusive to guests of the 340-room The Star Grand hotel, Star has revealed.
The Star Brisbane, part of the AU$3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf precinct, opened in August.
According to information from Star, the facilities – part of the Isoletto Pool Club – are located on the level seven Leisure Deck and offer sweeping views over the Brisbane River. Areas of the Isoletto Pool Club are also available for private and corporate events and complement the property’s state-of-the-art Event Centre.
“Since opening just over seven months ago, The Sky Deck has been a major drawcard for visitors to the Brisbane CBD – whether dining at the two rooftop restaurants, sipping a cocktail at Cicada Blu, or enjoying the free, public viewing platform, which delivers stunning views from Moreton Bay to Mt Coot-tha,” said The Star Brisbane CEO Daniel Finch.
“We are delighted to now launch the glamorous Isoletto Pool Club and further help drive visitation for the city and the state especially on the back of ex-Tropical Cylone Alfred and recent challenges facing our business.
“We are continuing to operate as usual, including all hospitality venues, restaurants, the hotel and event spaces, our casino and now the new luxurious Isoletto Pool Club, elevating our premium level of guest experience and service.”
Isoletto Pool Club is positioned on what Star says is Brisbane’s largest wet deck pool area, featuring over 530 sqm of swimmable pools including two featured pools heated to 28 degrees.
Brisbane Economic Development Agency CEO Anthony Ryan said, “The Isoletto Pool Club raises the bar for luxury tourism in Brisbane and cements our reputation as one of the best places in the world to visit.
“This new addition will give visitors another compelling reason to stay at The Star Brisbane while enhancing Brisbane’s reputation as world-class destination for leisure and business travel.”
