Korea’s Kangwon Land – home to the only casino in the country open to locals – has inked a business agreement with Mongolia’s Sky Resort as part of its efforts to increase its international tourism presence.
The joint marketing business agreement will see the two properties share local tourism trends and product development information in each country while actively cooperating in domestic promotional marketing through expanded cultural exchange.
They will also share information on resort operation systems and seek to strengthen the capabilities of staff through employee exchange programs.
Sky Resort, a subsidiary of Mongolia’s MCS Group, is described as the only ski resort in Mongolia, located at an altitude of 1,373 meters above sea level with a ski resort and three golf courses.
“This joint marketing business agreement is very meaningful in promoting [Kangwon Land’s] High1 Resort brand to Mongolia, a new target country,” said Acting CEO Choi Cheol-gyu.
“We will continue to expand the market so that foreign tourists from more countries can visit High1, and we will grow into a global complex resort that provides customized content and services.”
Kangwon Land noted that it has been actively conducting overseas marketing by establishing an overseas marketing team and signing local direct sales network contracts with nine companies in seven countries with a view to strengthening its competitiveness among global integrated resorts.
