Genting Group’s US flagship Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) has announced the appointment of casino industry veteran Greg Shulman as Executive Vice President of International Marketing.

Continuing the property’s recent management overhaul, RWLV said Shulman will lead its international casino marketing strategy with a focus on high-end player development.

He is said to being a wealth of experience to the role, having been a key member of the opening team at the Bellagio as Executive Director of Marketing. Shulman was later was appointed Vice President of Casino Marketing & Hospitality for MGM Resorts International before returning to the Bellagio as Vice President of International Marketing under the MGM Resorts portfolio, helping attract high-profile VIP clientele from key global markets – an area of focus he will continue to prioritize in his new position at RWLV.

Most recently, Shulman served as Vice President of Casino Marketing for Palms Casino Resort, where he led enhancements to player development and guest relations.

“Greg’s impressive career in the gaming industry is a testament to his leadership and relationships all over the globe,” said RWLV COO and CFO, Carlos Castro. “He is widely regarded as one of the top player development executives in the industry, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team as we continue to elevate our brand and expand our market reach.”

RWLV Chairman Jim Murren added, “Greg has a proven track record of executing marketing strategies that attract new audiences and drive financial growth. We are excited for Greg to continue expanding our global casino marketing efforts here at Resorts World Las Vegas and we are confident he will be instrumental in supporting our ongoing success and development.”

The appointment of Shulman continues a complete overhaul of the RWLV team following recent regulatory scandals, with former MGM Resorts CEO Murren having joined the newly formed Board of Directors as Chairman in December alongside former NGCB chair A.G. Burnett, former MGM and Caesars HR executive Michelle DiTondo, and Genting Bhd’s current President, COO and Executive Director Kong Han Tan as new directors.

Former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval was also appointed to the Board of Directors last month, alongside Castro as COO and CFO.

Alex Dixon, previously CEO at Q Casino & Resort and Dubuque Racing Association, was recently named CEO.

RWLV last month reached a US$10.5 million settlement agreement with the Nevada Gaming Control Board in regard to a complaint related to its alleged failure to comply with state anti-money laundering laws. The settlement is seen as providing an avenue for the property and its new management team to focus on improving operational performance.
