During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday from 4 to 6 April, the number of visitor arrivals to Macau reached about 410,000 – an increase of 14.7% compared to the three days of the 2024 Qingming Holiday.
According to data released by the Public Security Police Force (PSP), 73.7% of visitors were from mainland China at around 301,000, while there were around 72,000 Hong Kong arrivals representing 17.6% of the total.
The daily average arrivals was about 136,000, which was higher than the daily average of 112,000 arrivals in February, representing an increase of about 21%.
The daily average number of arrivals and departures combined during the three-day holiday was 671,000, up 10.8% from 1,817,000 during the same period last year.
Among the various control points, the Border Gate topped the list with 1.01 million passenger trips, accounting for 50.2% of the total. The Qingmao Port recorded 311,000 passenger trips or 15.5%, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) 273,000 passenger trips or 13.6% and the Hengqin Control Point an accumulative total of 260,000 passenger trips, accounting for 12.9%.
