CAM said it recorded a profit before tax of MOP$383 million (US$48 million), a record high since the pandemic. The company also reiterated that it plans issue new ordinary shares to increase its capital by MOP$500 million (US$62 million) in 2025 in response to the current stage of the airport expansion and reclamation project’s funding needs.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), global air passenger traffic is expected to reach 5.2 billion in 2025, with the Asia-Pacific region maintaining its position as the world’s largest passenger market and China accounting for more than 40% of the total.
CAM said Macau International Airport is actively preparing for the establishment of airport service centers at Zhongshan Port, Shekou Port and Gongbei Port, extending its service reach to the core hubs on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary.
