Macau’s gross gaming revenue reached MOP$19.66 billion (US$2.45 billion) in March, up 0.8% year-on-year although slightly down compared to February.
According to information from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), the March figure was the second highest of the year ahead of January’s GGR of MOP$18.25 billion (US$2.28 billion) but behind February’s MOP$19.75 billion (US$2.46 billion).
For the first three months of 2025 combined, Macau GGR was MOP$57.7 billion (US$7.19 billion), up 0.6% compared with the same period last year.
The March result comes with analysts estimating only minimal growth during the first half of 2025 on tough comps before accelerating during the second half of the year. Early forecasts suggest FY25 gaming revenues will climb by between 3% and 5% year-on-year.
In a recent note, financial research group CreditSights said monthly GGR appears to have normalized post-COVID in a trend that is now expected to continue for the remainder of 2025.
