Hann Resorts has appointed industry veteran Tim Neil as General Manager of Hann Reserve Golf, tasked with building the company’s ambitious golf resort development into a unique world-class offering.

Hann Reserve, currently being built on 450 hectares of land in New Clark City north of Manila, will when complete feature three 18-hole championship golf courses, the Philippines’ only PGA-affiliated player development facilities, plus international luxury hotel brands, a commercial center, casino, exclusive residences and an international school. The first of those three golf courses is due to open by the end of this year.

According to information from Hann, Neil brings with him more than 20 years of leading award-winning golf, leisure and hospitality operations with extensive golf club management experience. He is said to be an expert in developing high-performance teams and strategic planning and boasts extensive pre-opening experience in the hospitality sector.

Neil most recently served as CEO of PGA Golf Development Korea, where he worked with the PGA of America to implement global strategies through golf academies, facility management, professional development and championships.

He has also served as CEO and General Manager of Ghala Golf Resort in Oman and as General Manager of Intercontinental Hotels Group’s Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai.

In comments to Inside Asian Gaming, Neil said, “My role in this ambitious [Hann Reserve] project is not just to lead but to inspire a collective commitment to excellence. We are dedicated to creating a facility that stands as a symbol of innovation and quality in Asia, and indeed, in the world.

“To achieve this, we have assembled a team of the brightest minds in the industry, including esteemed partners like the PGA of America, IMG, R&A, Nicklaus Design, KJ Choi Design and Faldo Design, to name a few. Their unparalleled expertise in golf and sports management adds immense value to our vision.

“We are committed to crafting an environment that offers unparalleled experiences, where athletes, families and visitors alike can enjoy world-class amenities and sense of community. Our aim is to establish a legacy that will benefit generations to come, elevating our sport and deliver Championship golf.”

Neil added that “every element of Hann Reserve has been meticulously planned, from the design of our courses, our sustainable practices, to the choice of amenities. We have set our sights high, focusing on excellence, innovation and luxury. With a rich natural landscape as our backdrop, we believe that every element of our reserve will reflect our commitment to quality and grandeur.

“With golf and golf entertainment at our heart we aim to create an environment where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature while experiencing world-class services. By focusing on these elements, Hann Reserve will be the benchmark for excellence in golf and leisure, attracting enthusiasts from all over the globe.”

Hann Reserve’s three golf courses include a Nicklaus Design targeted to open by the end of this year. The second course, designed by South Korean professional golfer KJ Choi, is scheduled to open in 2027, with the third designed by Sir Nick Faldo due for completion in 2028.
