Light & Wonder has continued to overhaul its global leadership teams with Simon Johnson named as the new CEO of its iGaming business.

Johnson, who joined the company in 2017, has most recently served as SVP and Managing Director International, with Asia included under his purview.

According to Light & Wonder, his new role as iGaming CEO will see him report directly into Light & Wonder President and CEO Matt Wilson and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Johnson previously worked across a range of businesses and industries, having started out in investment banking – where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions – and later holding leadership roles in private equity, telecommunications and financial technology businesses.

Light & Wonder earlier this week announced a leadership transition within its Asia team, with Glenn Huybrecht promoted to Vice President & Managing Director, Asia and Ken Jolly moving into the role of VP Strategic Development, Asia.
