Seventeen Macau restaurants have been awarded a total of 22 diamonds in the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, released this week by Chinese e-commerce platform Meituan.

Launched in 2018, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide is China’s version of Michelin, with 370 restaurants from 34 cities around the world listed in this year’s guide.

Of the 17 restaurants in Macau to earn an honor in 2025 – which comprised representation across all six concessionaires – SJM was the most decorated with seven diamonds including three diamonds for the seventh straight year for Robuchon au Dôme. The Eight Restaurant was also awarded two diamonds for the fourth consecutive year, with Palace Garden and Guincho a Galera awarded one diamond.

Melco Resorts achieved six diamonds in this year’s guide, with Jade Dragon achieving three diamonds for the sixth consecutive year and Yi, Alain Ducasse at Morpheus and Sushi Kinetsu achieving one diamond each.

Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho said, “Thank you to Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for these wonderful honors. They are a testament to Melco’s dedication to contributing to Macau’s economic diversification as we aim to strengthen its standing as a world center of tourism and leisure, and further highlight the city’s status as a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy.”

MGM’s Imperial Court and Five Foot Road were also recognized as One Diamond restaurants in the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide.

MGM China’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Hubert Wang, said, “These authoritative recognitions not only affirm MGM’s dedication to promote the traditional Chinese culinary culture, but also highlights the exceptional efforts of our Golden Lion Team in delivering outstanding dining experiences and services. We will continue to showcase the essence of regional Chinese cuisines in this ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’, and to captivate both domestic and international audiences with the unique charm of ‘Tourism + Gastronomy’ in Macau.”

For Galaxy, Feng Wei Ju and 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA were both awarded one diamond, while Wynn Palace’s SW Steakhouse and Chef Tam’s Seasons also received one diamond.

Sands China’s La Chine and Zi Yat were awarded one diamond again in 2025.
