Sands China has announced a discretionary bonus of one month’s salary for 99% of the company’s full-time employees, stating it is a token of appreciation for the efforts and hard work of its team members in 2024. In addition, a salary increase will be granted to eligible employees in March.

The discretionary bonus will be paid to non-management team members who have been with the company for one year or more. For management team members, the discretionary bonus will be paid based on their individual performance, the company’s Management Incentive Plan, and financial results.

Team members who have worked for Sands China for less than one year will receive prorated bonuses if they joined the company before 1 October 2024 and are still employed on the bonus payout date.

At the same time, Sands also announced a salary increase effective 1 March 2025, marking the company’s second salary increase since the outbreak. Eligible full-time team members earning monthly salaries up to MOP$16,000 (before tax) will receive a pay rise of MOP$600, resulting in a salary increase of between 3.8% and 5.0%. Eligible full-time team members earning monthly salaries above MOP$16,000 (before tax) will receive a 2.5% pay rise.

Grant Chum, CEO and Executive Director of Sands China Ltd, said, “As we look back at another successful year for Sands China, we can all be proud of what we have achieved together as a team. On behalf of our board of directors and senior management, I would like to thank you all for your contributions to our continued success.

“Some highlights from the year include the successful launch of The Londoner Grand; upgrades to The Venetian Arena; various cultural and tourism projects in the revitalization districts, including the entrepreneurship recruitment program for Rua Das Estalagens; hosting numerous large-scale MICE functions, entertainment performances, international sports events, and cultural and artistic activities.

“Sands has also been recognized as a Top 1% ranking in S&P Global’s ESG assessment; and announced a multi-year collaboration with the NBA to bring The NBA China Games to Macau.

“These accomplishments are a testament to your hard work and dedication. In light of these achievements and your valuable contributions, I am delighted to announce a discretionary bonus and salary increase.”
