Lotte Tour’s Korean integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower, reported a 14.9% month-on-month decline in casino revenues to KRW24.2 billion (US$17.5 million) in October. However, the figures represented a 22.2% increase over the same period in 2023.
According to information filed with the Korea Exchange, October’s casino revenue included KRW23.1 billion (US$16.7 million) in table revenue, down 14.8% month-on-month, and KRW1.06 billion (US$768,000) in machine revenue, down 16.5%.
Table drop of KRW137.1billion (US$99.3 million) was up 5.9% month-on-month but down 4.4% year-on-year.
Hotel revenue in October improved by 13.0% compared with September to KRW7.70 billion (US$5.6 million) but was down by 12.9% versus October 2023.
For the first 10 months of 2024 combined, casino revenue has reached KRW245.0 billion (US$178 million), up 104% year-on-year, while hotel revenue is down by 5.8% to KRW73.6 billion (US$53.3 million).
Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high and features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters, offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
