The France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) announced Wednesday this year’s Charity Gala Dinner will be held in the Grand Ballroom of MGM MACAU on the evening of 20 September 2024.
The event is in partnership with Oxfam Macau, with all proceeds from the Gala Dinner being donated to the charity organization.
At a press conference, FMCC President Rutger Verschuren, introduced this year’s gala dinner, themed “A Journey Through Time and Space” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France.
The event is expected to be attended by more than 300 VIPs, executives and government officials from Macau, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, and will include the continuation of the Macau ESG Awards ceremony, supporting the Macau community.
The partnership with Oxfam Macau is to aid the organization’s social responsibility in paper recycling, with the aim of increasing the recycling rate and encouraging companies and exhibitors to participate in recycling programs by engaging with workers to understand their socio-economic situation and the challenges they are facing.
“Registered in Macau in 2012, Oxfam has made great contributions to the community over the years and its ESG initiatives are becoming increasingly important,” Verschuren said.
“This year, we will continue to collaborate closely with MGM MACAU to create a spectacular evening for the Gala Dinner.”
The 2024 FMCC Charity Gala Dinner will also feature Alice & The Wanderers, a Sino-French jazz band from Shanghai, who will perform French versions of Chinese songs.
