Leading Asian sportsbook operator SABA Sports has announced a US$3 million seed investment into online crypto casino EVO.io, which it says signifies SABA Sports’ belief that cryptocurrency will play an important role in the future of iGaming.

According to information from SABA Sports, EVO.io operates as a typical crypto casino offering a range of games and betting options using cryptocurrencies. However, its development efforts go beyond a token and exceed the conventional idea of a casino by encouraging global participation and sharing of the economy. Through the power of decentralization, EVO.io empowers participants to challenge traditional norms by either being the house or beating the house, creating the games, playing the odds, controlling their funds, bringing their friends and securing your earnings.

“It is without a doubt that crypto will play key roles in iGaming in the years to come,” said a SABA Sports spokesperson. “It may just be a simple deposit and withdrawal transaction right now, but blockchain technology can be much more. For example, transparency in casino games, detailed on-chain betting data, and so on.

“We have seen EVO.io’s vision and what they aim to achieve in the next three years, and we firmly believe they will make their mark in this industry.”

SABA Sports said EVO.io aims to transform the iGaming industry through the power of a decentralized Web3 network, with the crypto casino scheduled to launch in September 2024. It is currently in the beta testing stage and undergoing a branding exercise.
