Philippines technology firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp has reported net income of Php3.2 billion (US$55.9 million) for the three months to 30 June 2024, up 389% year-on-year due to the strong performance of its digital retail segment as well as the rationalization of revenue sharing with PAGCOR for electronic games, it said.

Revenues also climbed by 295% to Php18.9 billion (US$330 million) on higher user traffic and fresh contributions from new game offerings. EBITDA of Php3.4 billion (US$59.4 million) was 351% higher than a year earlier.

For the first six months of 2024 combined, DigiPlus reported net income of Php5.2 billion (US$90.8 million), up 377%, with revenues rising 263% to Php32.5 billion (US$568 million) and EBITDA by 336% to Php5.5 billion (US$96.1 million).

“The first semester was encouraging for DigiPlus. Despite the challenges, we strive to continue to innovate and deliver unparalleled digital entertainment experiences to our customers,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco.

“By optimizing user engagement through personalized experiences and diversifying our content offerings, we believe we are poised to capture the strong growth of the digital entertainment industry.”

DigiPlus also touted its contribution to the Philippines, noting that it paid Php15.1 billion (US$264 million) in taxes and fees in 1H24 while employing over 3,300 people nationwide.
The company, formerly known as Leisure & Resorts World Corp, provides backend support for online and land-based operators and also leases slot machines and operates slot arcades on behalf of PAGCOR.
