The upcoming SBC Summit Latinoamérica, taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Miami, from 29 to 31 October 2024, will feature dedicated “Leaders Track” on 30 October. The track is designed to equip industry leaders with the insights and strategies to overcome challenges related to varying regulations, player behaviors and innovative technology, spurring growth and brand success.

Tailored to the 4,000 industry professionals expected to attend, the educational program promises an in-depth exploration of various topics and challenges impacting the Latin American region, SBC said, with delegates set to enjoy discussions on navigating regional regulations, modernizing traditional gaming verticals, and the critical role of technology in promoting safe gambling initiatives.

A session titled Protecting the Future: Combating Influences of Underage Gamblin’ will tackle the issue of underage gambling in Latin America. Expert speakers Lorena Castro (Compliance Director Latam, Betsson Group), Iliana Pineda (Chief Legal Officer and Compliance Officer, Wplay), and Sebastian Vivot (Modernisation and Information Technology Manager, LOTBA) will explore topics such as problematic video game microtransactions, the role of technology in combating underage gambling and strategies for industry collaboration to better safeguard younger players.

Another panel titled Transforming Omnichannel Strategies for the Modern-Day will delve into the latest strategies to modernize traditional brick-and-mortar establishments for the digital age. Panel experts including Gabriel Szlaifsztein (General Manager LATAM, Continent 8) and moderator Seth Schorr (CEO, Fifth Street Gaming), will share insights into the safe implementation of automation and discuss the key considerations for operators transitioning online, such as new technologies, cybersecurity measures, and regional regulatory compliance.

A panel named Transnational Regulatory Convergence: Charting a Course for Unified Legislation will explore the feasibility of achieving cross-border, regulatory alignment in Latin America. Expert speakers Juan Camilo Carrasco (Partner, Asensi Abogados), Martin Garcia Santillan (Presidente, Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (LOTBA)), Carlos Fonseca Sarmiento (CEO, Gaming Law) and panel moderator Karen Sierra-Hughes (Vice President, Latin America Caribbean & Spain, GLI), will analyze regulatory patterns in both established and burgeoning markets and examine the potential collaborative approaches for operators and regulators to navigate legislation harmoniously.

Concluding the conference track is a panel titled Advancing Safe Gaming: The Role of Technological Innovation. This session will highlight the pivotal role that technology can play in promoting safe gambling initiatives. Esteemed industry experts Cristhian Cardenas (Compliance Director Latam, RushBet) and Elizabeth Maya Cano (President, CORNAZAR) will emphasize the significance of public education on gambling addiction and the implementation of advanced protective measures for players. Furthermore, the panel will explore the evolution of comprehensive regulatory policies and discuss collaborative efforts within the industry to foster a responsible and ethical gaming environment.

In addition to the Leaders conference track, delegates will have the opportunity to expand their educational scope through dedicated programs encompassing sports betting & media, affiliates & advertising, emerging markets & technology, lotteries, casinos & iGaming and payments & compliance.

Attendees can secure their spot at SBC Summit Latinoamérica with our “Early Bird Special” granting access to all three core days of the event, including the exhibition floor, conference content, and evening networking parties, all for the discounted price of just $400.
