Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc (BCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Solaire Resort Entertainment City, has launched a new nationwide medical scholarship program.
According to details sent to IAG, the program aims to produce 763 graduates in the fields of medicine, nursing, allied health services, sciences and caregiving.
BCFI, with its implementing partner Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc (PSFI), aims to help address the dwindling number of medical practitioners in the country, as many have gone overseas, it explained.
The program was initially launched on 9 May at St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine, one of BCFI’s 15 university partners nationwide.
BCFI’s parent company, Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, this week reported gross gaming revenues of Php14.8 billion (US$256 million) for the three months to 31 March 2024.
