Mohegan Gaming will open the casino at its Korean integrated resort, Mohegan Inspire, this Saturday, the company has confirmed.

Details of the long-awaited launch were posted on the Mohegan Inspire website on Thursday evening ahead of an official announcement on Friday, with the casino set to open for business at exactly 8:08am this Saturday 3 February after receiving final government approvals.

The US$1.6 billion integrated resort held a soft opening of some non-gaming facilities on 30 November, including its hotel, MICE and signature restaurants. However, launch of the foreigner-only casino was dependent on the hotel being issued a five-star hotel rating by the Korea Tourism Association. Mohegan, which previously stated it expects to turn cash flow positive before the end of 2024, revealed it had been awarded its five-star rating last week.

The remaining facilities as part of Mohegan INSPIRE’s Phase 1A development are due to open by mid-2024, including INSPIRE Mall, an outdoor experiential space, an international food court, an immersive content exhibition hall and an indoor children’s playground.
