MGS organizer, the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), said Friday there were a total of 3,500 visitors to last week’s MGS Entertainment Show – the first time the event had been held as a live in-person exhibition and summit in four years.
According to information from the MGEMA, these visitors included 74% from Macau, 9% from mainland China and 9% from Hong Kong, with the remainder comprising visitors from Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, USA, Cambodia, Vietnam, UAE, Spain, Nepal, India, Slovenia and Singapore.
It added that 17% of visitors represented the gaming interests of operators, another 17% industry suppliers and 7% Consulting & Technology, with other areas listed as Education, Finance, Sales & Marketing and Hospitality 4%.
This year’s MGS ran under the theme “The Asian Pioneer Returns”, covering a total area of around 4,000 square meters at Galaxy International Convention Center last Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 November.
It also featured a one-day MGS Summit, which saw Galaxy Entertainment Group’s Kevin Kelley deliver a Keynote Address.
